For Suppliers
How to Quote and Get Paid on Beffer
Receiving a Lead
You'll be notified by email when a matching RFQ is sent to you. The notification includes the request summary, location, sector, and response deadline. Log in to your supplier dashboard to see the full details.
Reviewing the Request
Each RFQ shows the buyer's requirements, specifications, any attached documents (drawings, PDFs), location, and delivery expectations. Take the time to review thoroughly before quoting.
Submitting a Quote
Enter your price, payment terms, delivery timeline, and any conditions. You can attach supporting documents. You set your own payment terms — Beffer does not dictate pricing or payment structure. Options include pro forma, 50/50, staged payments, net terms, or any other arrangement you define.
Revisions
You can revise your quote before the buyer accepts. After acceptance, changes require mutual agreement through Beffer support.
Getting Paid
When the buyer accepts your quote and pays according to your terms:
- Payment is processed through Stripe Connect
- Beffer deducts the platform fee (varies by your subscription plan)
- Funds are routed to your Stripe Connect account
- Payouts arrive in your bank account per your Stripe settlement schedule (typically 2–7 business days)
Platform Fees
Beffer charges a platform fee to suppliers, not buyers. The fee rate depends on your subscription plan. Platform fees are either deducted from payouts or invoiced separately. They are not added to what the buyer pays.
What Your Accountant Needs
- Stripe Connect provides statements and remittance reports for each payout
- Beffer platform fee invoices are issued separately with VAT where applicable
- Reconciliation: Match Stripe payouts to orders fulfilled; match Beffer invoices to your fee schedule
- VAT: Charged on platform fees by Beffer. Product/service VAT follows normal rules between you and the buyer
